In Spain's deep South is Utiel Requena, close to Valencia and Bodegas Vegalfaro. The sun beats down strong here, the landscape is arid but the wines are rich in flavour.
This is a blend of Tempranillo and Garnacha Tintorera - a red grape with red pulp, which gives this wine a deep ruby colour. Big red and black fruit work with smooth tannins.
